Hi, I'm Tynan Purdy, a 3rd year, majoring in Industrial Design at Georgia Tech. I became a designer because of my love for building robots and marketing design in the FIRST Robotics Competition and making. I am an experienced leader and enjoy learning to use new tools. I have used SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for digital manufacturing and product modeling. I also am experienced in Adobe products, Python and Java programming. I can organize a team through a project. My well-rounded background makes me a key team member.
I grew up in Atlanta. My major influences as a child came from the maker community. I was inspired by the Iron Man films, starting my creative journey with armor cosplay and the Atlanta Maker Faire.
Curiosity lead me to robotics, where I vastly expanded my hard and soft skills in engineering, design, and leadership. Now I am studying Industrial Design at my dream school, loving every bit of it. Catch me at an Atlanta United game with Footie Mob, nerding out with my friends over films and TV, or making something in the studio.
